Babies with the Babysitter

Babies are the most beautiful thing in the world that God gives to married people. But having babies leads to having a lot of responsibilities that a couple must do in a perfect way. Furthermore, the parents can do many things to balance between their own responsibilities and their home responsibilities such as using a babysitter or putting their children in a daycare center. Although many parents don't like to leave their babies with a babysitter, I feel that a babysitter is the best option if the parents are busy and can't give sufficient care to their child, or if they would rather not take their child to the daycare center, as long as the mother also fulfills her duties as a mother.

First, many parents are busy and can't give their children as much care as they need, so having the babysitter for their kids is the best solution. Often, when a working woman has a new baby, she can't take a very long vacation, nor can she leave her job to take care of her baby. In addition, a lot of parents work during the same daily shift, so they can't divide the time needed to take care of their child between themselves. For example, if the mother and the father work from 8-5 daily, neither parent can watch the child between those hours without quitting their job. However, if the women works or studies in the afternoon and the father works in the morning, they can divide the time between them and take care of their child. Finally, some fathers don’t prefer to give any care or help for their kids. Musaed stated, “I think that my wife should stay with the child, and I should work and bring some money.” He also said, “I work hard in the morning and when I go back home, I need to rest without babies noise.” Therefore, the babysitter is the best choice for kids if the parents are unable to care for them because of their jobs.

In addition, some parents would rather not put their kids in a daycare center for several reasons. First, seventy percent of the students in this class are nervous about the daycare’s cleanliness or ability to give individual attention to their child because of the large number of children there. For instance, if the daycare center has a few kids, they can focus more on each kid, but if they have a lot of kids, they can't watch all of them in a perfect way. Second, eighty-eight percent of the students in the class are concerned that the cold weather will hurt their child, so they prefer to keep their child warm, and not to take him/her out of home in the morning. Third, eighty percent of students in this class find it easy for the child to catch a virus or disease from another kid because small kids don't have a strong imone system yet. For these reasons, a lot of parents prefer to keep their kids at home under the supervision of a babysitter's care rather than taking him/her to the daycare center.

Besides taking care of a baby by employing a babysitter, the mother must also fulfill her duties as a mother in several ways in order to ensure the baby is taken care of when he/she is not with a babysitter. The first way is to give her baby the love, kindness and compassion that he/she needs and deserves. “The mother should spend time with her baby, show him love and take care of all his needs,” Nikki Mattson said. For example, when the mother comes back from her work, she must give her baby a big hug and kiss, and she must play with him or take him to walk around. Also, she has to sleep with her baby, especially during his first year and when he is sick. The next way is to supervise and take care of her baby's food, personal things and sleep time. For instance, a mother should make healthy food, and she should be sure that her baby's clothes, bed and towel are clean. The last way a mother should care for her child by complimenting him/her when he/she does good deeds, and punishing him/her when he/she acts in an incorrect manner. Indeed, the mother has to do all these duties toward her kids even if she has a babysitter. In fact, one hundred percent of the women in this class agree that this is important.

As we have seen, a babysitter can be a good choice for parents who want to have balance between their own responsibilities and their duties toward their kids, especially if the parents are busy and can't provide enough care to their kids, or if they see that the daycare center is an unsuitable solution to put their kids in. However, in order for this option to be beneficial for a child, the mother must do all of her mother's duties on the fullest way to make sure her child receives the best care possible when the baby is in his/her mother's care. All in all, I encourage each working woman to have a babysitter who takes care of her children while she is busy, so she can better balance her home responsibilities with her other responsibilities.
